Hourly to Salary Calculator
Turn your hourly rate into annual, monthly, weekly, and daily pay.
Gross pay, before tax. Drop the paid weeks below 52 to model unpaid time off. The math works in any currency, the symbol is just a symbol.
The recruiter says 28 an hour and your brain needs a second. Rent is monthly. The other offer is a salary. Nothing lines up, and you are doing mental math on a phone call.
This converter puts every number in the same language. Type the rate and see the year, the month, the fortnight, the week, and the day, side by side. Adjust hours per week if you are not on a standard 40, and drop the paid weeks if your time off is unpaid, which is the detail hourly workers get burned on.
Now you can compare offers, or quote a rate, without guessing.

Questions
How do I convert an hourly rate to a yearly salary?
Multiply your hourly rate by the hours you work per week, then by the weeks you are paid per year. At 40 hours and 52 weeks that is rate x 2,080. The calculator does this live and also breaks it into monthly, biweekly, weekly, and daily pay.
What if I do not get paid vacation?
Lower the paid weeks per year. A contractor who takes four unpaid weeks off would use 48 instead of 52, which is often the honest number when comparing a contract rate to a salaried offer.
Is the result before or after tax?
Before tax. This is gross pay, the number job offers and contracts are written in. Take-home depends on your country, state, and deductions, which no simple converter can know.
